Antonella Quacchia – Sguardo verso l'essenziale (Gaze Toward the Essential) marks the artist's first solo exhibition in Italy, opened with a vernissage on August 9, 2022, in the prestigious Palazzo Pisani-Revedin in Venice. Curated by Francesca Di Trapani and introduced by a critical text by Marta Lock, the exhibition brings together works from the series Our Planet and Floating Thoughts — a visual journey that invites the eye to slow down, to strip away the superfluous, and to rediscover the silent depth of what is truly essential.
Moving between abstraction and contemplation, Quacchia's works enter into dialogue with the unique spirit of Venice itself — a city eternally suspended between matter and apparition, water and light. Her artistic research revolves around universal themes: the fragility of our planet, the fluidity of thought, the memory of forms — offering the viewer an intimate and layered experience.
The exhibition is documented in the catalogue WE ARE REVERSAL, published by Edizioni Serradifalco for MUSA INTERNATIONAL.
