About

Antonella Quacchia child

Antonella Quacchia is an established contemporary abstract artist and sculptor whose work explores transformation, ritual, and poetic resilience. Her unique vision is shaped by a compelling career shift from Computer Science at CERN (European Centre for Nuclear Research) and at the ILO (International Labour Organization) to a full-time artistic practice in 2012, embodying the power of a purposeful creative pivot.

Quacchia’s sought-after mixed-media paintings and sculptures are distinguished by their richly textured surfaces. She innovatively blends acrylics, oils, marble powders, recycled materials, and resin to create visual narratives that evoke inner landscapes and silent metamorphosis. Her abstract style, informed by a multicultural life and a powerful sense of “non-belonging,” offers a fertile, emotionally resonant space for contemporary collectors.

An internationally exhibited artist, Quacchia’s work has been shown in major cultural hubs including New York, London, Paris, Vienna, Rome, Tokyo, and Venice. She is the author of the bilingual monograph Orizzonti Sensibili / Sensitive Horizons (Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori) and continues to develop her sculptural exploration. Based in Vienna and Barcelona, Antonella Quacchia creates meaningful, collector-grade artworks that speak to ambiguity, presence, and the quiet power of personal transformation.
