African masks
This art work isn’t just a painting; it’s a journey into old African traditions mixed with new, modern feelings. My son and I love African masks, and our home isn’t just decorated with them – it’s full of their stories. Each mask shows Africa’s deep culture and amazing art.
To make this piece, I used special materials. I mixed metal powders with acrylic colors for a subtle shine, and added oil pastels for contrast. My secret ingredient is my own “gypsy white paint”, which gives the artwork an old, glowing look.
The misterious masks in this artwork show our shared adventure of learning about and loving Africa’s rich past. To me, it feels like touching an old power source, feeling the strong energy from these ancient items. They are more than just decorations; they connect us to another world—a world of strength, tradition, and mystery.
With this art piece, I would like to invite you into a world of immagination where the figures bold designs and strong traces could evoke memories and spark curiosity: maybe with a mix of fear and wonder that draws you in. In this artwork, the play of light and shadow makes the masks seem alive, telling their stories from long ago right into our lives today.
