Blue element 3

Blue Element 3 is a richly textured abstract composition from Antonella Quacchia’s Serendipity series, a collection that explores the interplay between material depth and emotional resonance. This 70 × 50 cm panel is built upon a thick layer of plaster, layered with translucent blue resin and accented with acrylic markers to enhance the illusion of underwater depth.

The composition evokes an aerial or subaquatic landscape, with swirling blues ranging from turquoise to deep cobalt. The plaster base introduces tactile ridges and fissures, while the resin’s glossy finish amplifies the sense of fluidity and light refraction. Acrylic marker detailing adds precision and contrast, guiding the viewer’s eye through the layered terrain.
